Care Package for June 26, 2019

Care Packages through the end of June are a celebration of LGBTQ Pride Month. I know it’s not much, but I want to put as much support as I could into the world, and this seemed like a good way to add a bit more. Happy Pride Month.

From roughly 1925-1927, singer and actress Ethel Waters lived at 580 St. Nicholas Avenue in Manhattan. She never came out publicly, but she was celebrated by lesbians in Harlem, as was her girlfriend, dancer Ethel Williams.
