I spent a bit of time this morning looking at blog data for 2020, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that I had visitors from an even larger number of countries than I had the previous year.

In 2019, 71 different countries were represented in the annual summary. This past year, there were 79! 

Not surprisingly, my home-country of the United States accounted for a vast majority of visitors, even increasing visits by just over 20%. (You can take a look at the data yourself at the end of this piece.)

Percentages don’t really bear out the jump in visitors to the blog in 2020, though. 

In actual numbers, ethandezotelle.com had 33,306 visits over the course of the year, up from 7,197 in 2019. U.S. visits for 2020 stood at 27,109, compared to 4,438 the year before. 

One last set of numbers to throw your way. A year ago today, 2020 began with just over 200 subscribers to the blog. As of right now, there are 539 subscribers, and nearly 150 of those joined on between mid-November and now. 

At some point in the next few days, as a way of saying thanks to my visitors and subscribers, I’ll be announcing a fun contest to celebrate the success the blog experienced in 2020.
