This song from Wilco’s 2007 masterpiece of an album, Sky Blue Sky, is the most inspiring and gentle motivational speech you’ll ever get from a rock band.

This song has carried me through some of the toughest times of my life. I’ve seen Wilco perform it live five times, and I cried every time. It’s the sort of song that makes me wish I could sing, because if I could, I’d sing it to my students, friend, and family (and myself) every day.
