Find me at thewinooski.com

Over the past few weeks, I’ve found myself further and further outside my comfort zone, along with millions of other people.

A few days ago, I leaned into the situation writing-wise and submitted a piece to thewinooski.com, a Vermont-based satirical website.

For the uninitiated, Winooski is a city located in Chittenden County, VT, and the Winooski River is a roughly 90-mile long tributary of Lake Champlain. Winoskik, from the Abenaki, means “at wild onion land.” Winooski is often referred to as “The Onion City.”

Anyway, I sent an article over to thewinooski.com, and they were gracious enough to post it. You can read it here: Even As COVID-19 Spread Slows, Manure Spreading Increases Among VT Farmers. I hope you enjoy it, or at the very least, that it makes you groan and shake your head.

Will there be more submissions? I hope so. I’ve got some ideas. Whether they hold up in the writing remains to be seen.
